The best course, I walked in knowing nothing about flowers and in the end I can now say I will be able to grow them , sow seeds, transplant seedlings, split a dahlaia tuber, build my own beds with the correct soil, make my own compost and even how to sell my flowers eith confidence! This workshop has it all, thanks Teneale !

This growers workshop provided a thorough understanding of all the elements of starting , managing and growing a cut flower farm as a business. The course content around the business side was invaluable as topics covered everything from our social media presence to understanding what to charge per stem. Half of the battle is determining what to charge the end user without pricing oneself out of the market is crucial.

In terms of the practical aspects, I really enjoyed walking through the farm and being able to ask questions about flowering times and seeing the reality of a working farm. I gained a lot of knowledge going though the practical exercise of splitting dahlia tubers and knowing what to look for on a tuber. The section on seed starting was just as priceless!

The segment on making your own compost and seeing this practically done was very beneficial. Arina Duvenhage was such a breath of fresh air as she passionately spoke of regenerative farming methods. Her knowledge on health and the microbiome was fascinating to listen to.

In closing, this course is ideal for anyone who wants to either:
1: Learn about the power of flowers for the
    first time or
2: Wants to get to grips with gaps experienced
    by a seasoned gardener

The scenic views and hospitality of the family is also very personal and makes everyone attending feel as though they are part of something bigger.

    Thank you!

Such a great and thoughtfully designed course, packed with info and tips. Teneale wholeheartedly shared lessons learnt, failures, and successes giving us the best possible start to our future businesses! I thoroughly enjoyed the practical work of seed starting, lifting and dividing dahlias, and making compost. I feel I’ve joined a fabulous community of people willing to share and support one another.

Beyond my expectations! Teneale shares her knowledge and passion for flower farming with such generosity and energy! She has inspired me to get started growing and given me the confidence to build a business around it! The course is well designed and interesting – practical, yet with a good theoretical foundation.
