Giant Christmas Wreath Workshop in Pretoria
Christmas at Femme Pétale was never going to be small.
This year, we are creating giant garden-inspired wreaths: abundant, textural and wonderfully dramatic pieces designed to make a statement throughout the festive season.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins so that we can start together.

Spend a creative morning in the garden while Teneale and Corli guide you through the complete wreath-making process.
You will learn how to create a strong base, place your foliage securely, build shape and movement, and finish your wreath so that it feels generous without becoming heavy or unbalanced.
The focus will be on natural materials, seasonal foliage and the beautifully imperfect character of something made by hand.
You will leave with a completed giant wreath, practical wreath-making knowledge and something magnificent to hang at home.

No previous wreath-making or floral-design experience is required.
What to bring
All core tools and materials will be supplied. We recommend bringing:
- An apron
- Comfortable closed shoes
- Garden gloves if you prefer working with them
- Any special ribbon or small sentimental decoration you would like to incorporate. Some decorations will also be available on site.
Remember, it’s a giant wreath.
Please make sure your vehicle has enough room to transport your wreath home safely. Flat boot space or a large back seat will be helpful.
A note about natural materials
We work with seasonal, natural materials. The exact foliage, textures and colours may differ slightly from promotional photographs.
Every wreath will be individual, and you will be encouraged to follow the ingredients while creating something that feels like your own.

The complete Giant Wreath lesson will also be available inside the Femme Pétale Garden Club.
Garden Club members will receive:

Booking terms
- Workshop places are limited and cannot be held without payment.
- Tickets may be transferred to another guest if you can no longer attend.
- Cancellations within seven working days of the workshop are non-refundable because materials will already have been ordered and prepared.
- If Femme Pétale must postpone the workshop because of severe weather or circumstances beyond our control, guests will be offered a new date or booking credit.
- Please provide any dietary requirements when booking.
Frequently asked questions
I have never made a wreath before. Can I still attend?
Absolutely. Teneale and Corli will guide you through every stage, from preparing the base to finishing and hanging your wreath.
Will my wreath look exactly like the promotional image?
Your wreath will use the same overall style and mechanics, but natural ingredients vary. Each guest will create an individual wreath.
How long will the wreath last?
Fresh foliage will gradually dry. The life of your wreath depends on the materials used and where it is displayed. You will receive care and placement guidance during the workshop.
Can I hang it outdoors?
This will depend on how protected the position is. A sheltered entrance or covered patio is usually kinder to natural wreath materials than full Pretoria sun and heavy rain.
Can I bring my own decorations?
Yes. You are welcome to bring a few ribbons, ornaments or meaningful details to add after the main wreath has been constructed.
Will there be an online version?
Yes. The full lesson will be added to the Femme Pétale Garden Club for people who cannot attend at the farm.
