Argentine Forget-Me-Not

Scientific Name : Iberodes linifolia syn.

Height: t is a low-growing plant, typically reaching heights of about 15 to 30 cm (6 to 12 inches)

Sun Preference: These plants thrive in full sun or partial shade, making them versatile for various garden locations. However, they may not do well in deep shade as they require ample sunlight for proper growth.

Days to Maturity: 90 to 100 days

Plant Type: Hardly annual

Plant Spacing: 23 – 30cm (9 to 12 in)

Appearance: small, delicate white flowers with five petals that are slightly notched at the tips. Each flower is about 1 cm in diameter and resembles a miniature forget-me-not. The leaves are narrow, linear, and resemble grass blades, giving the plant a fine-textured appearance.

Harvesting: : Harvest when one-quarter of the flowers on a stem are open. It’s especially wilt prone, so be sure to cut during the coolest part of the day. Immediately after harvest, dip the bottom few inches of the stems in boiling water for 7 to 10 seconds, or use Quick Dip, then place into cool water.

Vase life : The vase life of Argentine Forget-Me-Not flowers is typically around 5 to 7 days when cut and placed in water.

Special Features: Similar to other forget-me-nots, Venus's Navelwort can symbolize remembrance and lasting love.

Design features: This lovely little delicate flower I use as a floating element, or as an element on its own as it is so gorgeous. This flower is also great for bridal party work.
