7 Feb 2026 Field to Vase: Seasonal Centrepiece

A slow, joy-filled workshop where we wander the field, harvest what’s in season, and return to the shade to design a lush, garden-style arrangement in a vessel. You’ll learn to let the flowers lead — and leave with a centrepiece that looks like it grew that way.

What you’ll learn
  • Harvesting for longevity: when to cut, how to condition, and bucket hygiene for long vase life.
  • Vessel prep, foam-free: create secure, eco-conscious mechanics (frog/chicken-wire pillow) for natural movement.
  • Design foundations: building a colour story, working with focal/supporting/airy stems, creating depth and flow.
  • Shape & balance: asymmetry, negative space, and those whimsical “dancing” lines that make arrangements feel alive.
  • Finishing & care: placement, water changes, transport, and refresh tips for days of enjoyment.

The flow
  • Welcome & field walk – meet the plants, learn what’s blooming, choose your palette.
  • Harvest & condition – guided cutting and quick conditioning demo.
  • Mechanics made simple – set up your vessel with reusable, earth-friendly support.
  • Design time – step-by-step guidance as you create your own artful centrepiece.
  • Share & celebrate – gentle feedback, photos, and take-home care notes.
